Cuando hablamos de pel\u00edculas de deportes, deber\u00edan estar hechas para captar nuestra atenci\u00f3n y mostrar algo diferente a lo que vemos en la televisi\u00f3n. Algo diferente a la propia competici\u00f3n. No m\u00e1s inusual que la historia de un gran equipo. <\/p>

La Copa es una de esas pel\u00edculas. Una pel\u00edcula que nos muestra la historia de un peque\u00f1o equipo de f\u00fatbol escoc\u00e9s: el Kilnocky. Un equipo que cuenta en su composici\u00f3n con el famoso futbolista Jackie McQuillan, interpretado por Ali McCoys, del equipo Arsenal. McQuillan tiene una serie de problemas y tiene que recuperar su deseo de jugar bajo la gu\u00eda de su suegro, Gordon McLeod, interpretado por Robert Duvall, quien es el entrenador del equipo de Kilnocky. <\/p>

El director Michael Corrente est\u00e1 haciendo la pel\u00edcula basada en un gui\u00f3n de Dennis O'Neill. La historia se cuenta entrelazando el destino de un equipo semi-amateur que llega a la final de la Copa de Escocia y el destino de la gran estrella, un delantero que ha pasado por varios grandes equipos y debe ayudar a su equipo a alcanzar su mayor \u00e9xito. <\/p>

Sin embargo, Jackie McQuillan tiene problemas, le encanta el alcohol, no se muerde la lengua, es agresivo y ciertamente no es el mejor yerno ni el mejor jugador posible del que pueda aprender el resto del equipo. Debe pasar por una serie de pruebas, superar traumas y problemas para poder crecer y eventualmente reconciliarse con el padre de su esposa y ayudar a su equipo a progresar en el torneo. <\/p>

McQuillan es una leyenda del Celtic, pero en la pel\u00edcula salva a un ni\u00f1o que es partidario del Rangers, los archirrivales de su antiguo equipo, que recientemente ganaron el derbi. Kilnocky sigue la misma l\u00ednea, pero es m\u00e1s representativo del bien y a pesar de la lesi\u00f3n del portero principal, aunque tenga que prescindir de su estrella durante algunos partidos, el equipo va progresando y la suerte les acompa\u00f1a en todo momento. <\/p>

Tambi\u00e9n es de inter\u00e9s el \u00faltimo partido que le queda a Kilnocky, enfrent\u00e1ndolos a los Rangers. Un equipo contra el que McQuillan tiene varios goles, pero la diferencia de valoraciones es muy amplia y al final Kilnocky est\u00e1 en el bando perdedor.
