In the 1990s, Serafim Todorov was considered one of the best boxers. He won the world title 3 times, just as many times he triumphed at the championship of the Old Continent. His decorated career is complemented by a silver medal at the Atlanta Olympics in 1996, which he won after defeating the then undefeated Floyd Mayweather.

All triumphs, worthy of a script of a high-budget Hollywood production. Born in 1960 in a poor family, a boy from the town of Peshtera conquered the world boxing peak. He discovered the sport when he was only 9 years old. He is quickly captivated by boxing and devotes every free minute to becoming the best. In his interviews, he later said that faith in God was what motivated him over the years. Thanks to her, he achieves everything he aspired to. Let the world know his name.

Only 27-year-old Sarafa received an offer - to sign a professional contract Overseas. The contract, however, suggests competing for the United States. Something unthinkable for Todorov, brought up in patriotism. Rejects the offer. His decision turned out to be a turning point in his otherwise illustrious career. He loses a chance to shine on the professional scene, and thus a chance to financially secure his future. In his interviews, he later said that this was his biggest mistake.

Today, Serafim Todorov lives on his pension in the city of Pazardzhik. After the end of his racing career, he did not turn his attention to the coaching profession. However, Sarafa is among our most successful boxers of all time. And although he fails to materialize his professional successes in the ring, he becomes an inspiration to everyone who enters the boxing gym for the first time.
