The biggest "loser" in the history of boxing

.

Boxing is perhaps the oldest sport that has survived to this day. The roots of the martial art date back to ancient times, with the first "traces" of the sport being left more than 5,000 years ago. However, in its modern history, boxing dates back to 1904 and keeps in its history phenomenal athletes, epic duels, spectacular knockouts and hundreds of billions distributed among the biggest in this sport.

Especially in this sport, it is very difficult to have your name against any record. Some of the achievements are several decades old, and one of the records that (we assume) will never fall is one that hardly anyone wants - for most career losses!

The #1 "Loser" in sports is Reggie Strickland, whose nickname is, mind you, "One of the Greatest." The American is the man with the most professional losses in history, with 276 defeats in 363 duels played in the ring. His longest losing streak is 21 in a row, with 66 wins on his business card.

However, even the biggest "loser" in sports can boast a title! And not just one. He is a two-time Indiana super middleweight champion and even has a world title fight - that of the IBO super lightweight. His fight was in 1996 and he lost by unanimous decision to Verdell Smith.

In 2005, "One of the Greatest" apparently decided that no one could beat his record anymore and decided to quit after another defeat. And it is a fact that to this day there is no boxer who even comes close to his achievement. Another interesting fact is that Reggie has a brother, Jerry, who also has over 100 career losses.
