TIMOTHY ADAMS: Canada's Poker Superstar
The Canadian school is one of the strongest schools in poker. Some of the best and most successful professionals come right from the North American side. The Maple Leafs are one of the few countries to have a representative in the Poker Hall of Fame. It is dominated by names from the USA. To Canada we can add Indonesia, Israel, Poland, Ecuador, Vietnam and Georgia. And that's it... Perhaps one day its representative can be Timothy Adams, who bravely follows in the footsteps of his compatriot Daniel Negreanu.
Timothy is not among the most successful players in the World Series of Poker (WPS). He only has 1 bracelet, but adds 29 endings to it in the money. In the World Poker Tour, he has done this 3 times, and in the European 6. Nevertheless, Adams is among the richest poker professionals in the world. In March 2019 alone, he took home over $3.5 million from Triton Poker. From January to June 2020, the Canadian added 5.9 million to his account. To date, its total revenue is over 25 million.
Adams started poker relatively late. At least officially... The Canadian, born in 1986, has been competing in various online tournaments since the age of 18, unlike some of his colleagues who learned the rules of the game much earlier (not that it's legal). . The Burlington-born pro prefers the tournaments, not so much the cash tables. He is currently the second most successful Canadian after the idol of many - Daniel Negreanu. And all this way before he turned 40 years old…
