Who would win - Mike Tyson or Muhammad Ali?

Muhammad Ali is considered the greatest boxer of all time (or at least in the heavyweight division). But it would be extremely interesting to find out how the legend of the 1970s and 1980s would have fared against other top boxers who conquered the heavyweight division long after Ali quit. For example, how would he fare against the fearsome power of Mike Tyson, a man who has always admired Ali's skills.

Well, there is a way to find out, although it's not definitive. "Boxing Fight Simulations" tried to answer the question of whether Muhammad Ali could hold his own in the ring against Mike Tyson in his prime. The simulation demonstrates what would happen if the two stepped into the ring against each other.

It's a rough start for Mike Tyson, who can't keep up with Ali's speed. Cassius Clay, as the legend was born, managed to open a wound under Tyson's left eye, and thanks to his height, he controlled the fight perfectly. In round #3, Ali finally lands a heavy blow that knocks Tyson down, but the Iron Man still manages to get up and does a stunning reversal. He knocked Ali down twice, the second time the legend barely stood up. However, this is the last powerful blow that Tyson managed to land.

After the knockdown in the 4th round, Ali once again relied on speed to seriously tire Iron Mike, and the strategy worked. Two knockdowns followed, after which Tyson barely stood up, and at the third powerful blow (right hand hook) Tyson was on the floor and could no longer stand up - a victory for Ali.

The simulation seems quite realistic given the fact that Tyson was far better in the early rounds and his matches became unpredictable the more rounds played. Ali, for his part, was always very durable, very fast, and often taller than his opponents—advantages that made him the greatest boxer in heavyweight history.
